attempts.
Somethings in life just cannot be forced. Some things in life has to happen one way or another. Some things in life will remain as they ever will be. Some things in life can never be changed
Yet,
Not all things can happen by our planning. Not all attempts will bear fruit. No amount of effort could guarantee vicotory. No amount of time could secure an answer.
What gives, then?
Live life as one would be, shipbound:
You can charter your course, you can trim your sails, but ultimately you only ride the waves and tease the tides. You keep your eyes peeled for icebergs, but who knows when fog comes?
OR
Live life as one would, trainbound:
You know your course, you plan your route, but ultimately you live for the end, journey from station to station with the end in mind. You cannot plan who comes onboard and who leaves. You cannot alter your course once you have chosen. You can only hope the young punks wont leave too much gum or graffitti on your walls.
Melancholia, nice and sweet, swirling in the afternoon light,
like prime aged whiskey on rocks, or vintage wine in a crystal glass.
Its warm vibrant colours concealing its deep dark flavours.
So pretty to look at, yet always an acquired taste.
Drink in deeply, my cup of distilled melancholy!
take in its multiple hues, savour its elusive characters!
MmmmMMmmmm.......
